Leave a Legacy

Leave a Legacy

For 30 years Actors of Dionysus have inspired generations with the magic of myth. We are dedicated to engaging hard to reach communities and making sure that every young person has equal access to the wonders of the ancient world. We could not do this without the support of our generous friends and supporters.

People who are passionate about the power of ancient stories to inspire and influence the modern world.

People who want to enrich the lives of young people and empower them to tell their own stories.

People who love reinventing myth in a playful, poetic and innovative way.

A gift in your will can allow us to provide free workshops to harder to reach communities, including young people who are less privileged. It could help invest in new projects such as our Magic from Myth coding workshops (link to page). It could help us to create new accessible touring work for a wider audience, increasing access to ancient Greek myth for young people who may not otherwise have the opportunity. It would help sustain us and allow us to increase the scope and ambition of our work.

There are three main ways that you can benefit Actors of Dionysus through your will:

  • A Residual Legacy; a share or percentage of your estate.
  • A Pecuniary Legacy; an amount of money.
  • Specific gifts such as property or stocks and shares.

Please do let us know if you decide to remember Actors of Dionysus in your will, as we would be honoured to keep you, or a loved one, updated and involved with the charity and for you to support arts and culture in the UK. If you already made a will and wish to support us all you need is to add a codicil, that supplements your existing will. This something that you would discuss with your solicitor.

Actors of Dionysus is a registered charity (no. 1044532) and so no inheritance tax is payable on the amount of your gift.

It was great to see the confidence developed/shown by some of the students in the session which was unexpected. This was really good for some of the students who would never have a chance otherwise, as they’ve already missed out on school opportunities a long time ago. More please!
