KCL Greek Play 2025

Call for Creative Pitches

We’re looking for new ideas that adapt, elevate and engage with Greek tragedy, using ancient theatre to tell new and exciting stories!

You’ll have the opportunity to bring your vision to life, aided by a student creative team and under the mentorship of Actors of Dionysus, at the Greenwood Theatre, London 10 – 12 June 2025.

Have an idea that you’d like to bring to the stage? Read the role description for the student director below, and send your creative pitch, individually or as a group, to: info@actorsofdionysus.com with the subject line ‘KCL Greek Play Pitch’ by 15th November 2024.

  • Tell us your name(s), degree programme(s) and year(s) of study (and if you’re a group, who would take on which role)
  • Tell us which play you’d like to adapt, and why
  • Give us an outline of your vision for the play – 400 words or 1 page max.

This year we are particularly interested in hearing pitches for the less frequently performed Greek tragedies – tell us what you’d do with Hippolytus, or Alcestis, or…

Deadline for Creative Pitch applications: 15/11/24
