Part-time fundraiser sought

Part-time fundraiser sought

We are seeking a part time Freelance Fundraiser for 2 -3 days a week (flexible) to expand our education and performance work. Experience and evidence of successful fundraising is essential, and a knowledge of current funding avenues and forums preferred. The role lends itself to remote working, although regular meetings with the Artistic Director, either in person or on Zoom would take place.

We are looking for a dynamic and creative individual to help enrich and expand our education and performance work through helping raise the funds necessary to do so. Our charity specialises in new adaptations of ancient Greek drama and new writing inspired by ancient myth.

Our mission is to offer creative projects and workshops that develop young people’s skills and confidence and promote accessibility and opportunity, alongside stimulating their understanding and engagement of Greek myth. No knowledge of ancient Greek Myth is required but experience of fundraising is essential.  A love of live performance and education is recommended.

We regularly run workshops and enrichment days on ancient drama, myth and performance in schools across the country, which forms the basis of our work. We also have a rich history of national and international performance and are particularly invested in projects that engage and inspire young people within the local community. Our current projects include Magic from Myth Coding/Storytelling Workshops in collaboration with CoderDojo, prioritising young SEND people and designed to offer access to ancient Greek myth, drama and coding skills in a complementary fashion. We also act as Executive Directors on the King’s College London annual Greek play, which, this year, is a brand-new version of Elektra. We are also regularly involved in the local Brighton Fringe festival, in which, this year, we shall be opening our award winning LIONHOUSE venue to the public. You can see more about our work on our website.

Part-time Freelance Fundraiser roles include:
