The Three Graces

The Three Graces appeared at Brighton Fringe in 2021 and was conceived by Tamsin Shasha and co-written by her with local Sussex storyteller Fleur Shorthouse. We also collaborated with Juliet Russell of Vocal Explosion choir, whose music punctuated this very quirky site specific staging of the Creation Story, featuring the 3 daughters of Zeus.

Performed at Lionhouse which recently gained an Audience Choice Award 2024 for Best Brighton Fringe Venue the show featured live music, storytelling and circus and wowed our local Brighton community.

  • The Three Graces’ is a remarkable production – as Shorthouse said at one point – “it’s an edu-tainment” … We were given what was essentially a lecture on the Greek creation myths, punctured by some very funny back-and-forth banter from the women, all underpinned by sumptuous movement and beautiful sound.

    Fringe Review
  • Despite poor weather, I was absorbed by this production all the way through. The garden setting was ideal for a story of Pandora, Prometheus and Greek myths. The story telling by Fleur and Tamsin was engaging and humorous as well as informative. Tamsin’s aerial work was breathtakingly brilliant, and the spontaneous round of applause was well deserved, especially as it was wet. Juliet’s singing was atmospheric and really enhanced the production. I particularly enjoyed the feminist jibes and Prometheus’s rant against Zeus (aka Boris Johnson).

    A talented group of actors/singers!
